Hodie et Cras—Latin for "today and tomorrow"—is a first-of-its-kind organization offering high school students an unparalleled opportunity to experience Classics beyond what is offered in traditional classrooms. From workshops to curriculum programming, this unique program connects the ancient and modern worlds, bringing together passionate students to explore how the past continues to shape the future.

What have we done?
In March 2025, we brought together high school Classicists and college faculty at Yale to ask one question: What could Classics look like tomorrow?
Workshops. Candid conversations. Real Latin. Real Greek. And a real glimpse into the next chapter of classical education.
What's next?
– New regional and virtual events that connect students, teachers, and scholars
– A curriculum supplement designed to support teachers bringing more depth, context, and creativity to their Latin and Greek classes
– Resources to help students imagine futures in the field
Why it Matters
The study of the ancient world shouldn’t be limited by outdated textbooks or unclear pathways. Hodie et Cras opens the door to what’s next in Classics—by making space for young voices, new questions, and better access.
